The Baptist Home Board of Trustees voted unanimously on April 3, 2020, to confirm Dr. Rodney Harrison as The Baptist Home’s seventh president in The Home’s 107-year history.
Harrison began serving as transitional president in December 2019. Strategy. Dr. Harrison and his wife, Julie, also served as appointed missionaries with the North American Mission Board from 1995-2003.

In 1986 he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Administration from Dallas Baptist University. At Gateway Baptist Seminary, Harrison completed a Master of Arts in Christian Education in 1995 and the Doctor of Ministry in Mission Administration in 1999.
In addition to authoring numerous published books, articles and papers, Harrison has served as a consultant, mentor and coach for several academic institutions across the country, including Hannibal-LaGrange University and Missouri Baptist University.
The Harrisons live in a log home they lovingly restored. The Harrison’s are members of First Baptist Church, Kearney, and are blessed to have three children and nine grandchildren who live nearby.
